The sweetest portuguese sweets in the shop windows of the “A mais gulosa”
“Há alguém mais gulosa do que eu?” (Is there anyone with a sweeter tooth than me?) is the name of the latest pastry shop in downtown Coimbra. A pastry with a different concept. Mafalda Agante, the owner of the space, started by creating a blog and last year launched a book with the same name “Is there anyone with asweeter tooth than me?”, where she shares her taste and knowledge about sweets and recipes. In April 2017, she made her dream come true and opened her own space in her native land. A small and pleasant space where you can crave the sweets from the shop window: handmade candies created by Mafalda and also typical Portuguese sweets (traditional and conventual sweets according to their original recipes). Yes, in this space you can delight on some of the best Portuguese sweets. We are talking, for example, of the “Ovos-moles” of Aveiro, the “Cornucópias” and the “Castanhas de Ovo” of Alcobaça and from Porto arrive the “Palmiers com doce de ovos” and “Glorinhas”. Here you can also find healthy, organic, sugar-free, gluten-free or lactose-free options. To drink you will find natural juices, flavored waters and superfood shakes, replacing ordinary soft drinks.
