“Praça do Mercado”, a restaurant area recently opened on the first floor of the traditional D. Pedro V Market, has offered this space a proper upgrade of dynamic and life.
A modern and unpretentious space with a wide and varied offer of concepts, distributed over several stalls. It has a cafeteria service, pastries, ice cream, natural juices and fruits, crepes and waffles. For lunch and/or dinner: soups and salads, snacks and snack tavern, pizzas and pastas, meats and hamburgers, fish and seafood and also a Take Away service available.
These restaurant spaces have created partnerships with market suppliers, making a stand to use local, fresh and healthy products to prepare the dishes! And drinks? The offer is also varied: cocktails, craft beer, wines, sangria, among others.
The idea to bring together different people and generations, creating a new dynamic in this area of the city. It is already common to see employees of the markets, people who work in the surroundings, young couples and entire families, elderly people and groups of young people, and of course some tourists.
With extended hours, this traditional market has gained a fresh breath of life and is open to all who want to visit and have a good time.
Opening hours of “Praça da Restauração do Mercado D. Pedro V”, floors 1 and 2: from Monday to Wednesday, open until midnight; from Thursday to Saturday until 2 am.
