The shop with more style of downtown.
“Gang of four“, a multi-brand casual clothing store, is one of the most fashionable shops in downtown Coimbra.
It began by opening in “Terreiro da Erva” in 2005, but soon the space became small and for the last nine years it has occupied the first floor of 72 “Visconde da Luz” Street. Thus gained more space and visibility with no passersby going indifferent to Darth Vader, protagonist of the Star Wars movie, which is exposed in the large first floor window that functions as the store’s “shop window” making this probably the most photographed storefront in downtown Coimbra.
Currently Nelly, the wife of one of the four brothers who founded the store, is the one in charge of the “Gang” and explains that over the years she has kept faithful clients of which already two generations of family, parents and sons. Tourists also do not remain indifferent to the Gang of Four. Other than enjoying taking pictures with Darth Vader they also instantly recognize the favourite international brands marketed by the store, such as Fred Perry, Levi’s, Obey, Fila, Champion, Casio G-Shock and others.
More recently they have introduced a national brand, Not Yet Famous, which stands out for its polarized glasses, glasses chains and 100% organic cotton t-shirts.

Hours: Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
