The Uptown

The old Uptown portion of  the city of Coimbra is just a few minutes away from Hotel Oslo-Coimbra. After viewing one of the most representative images of Coimbra from guest-room windows, we invite guests to take in the city scenery  from our roof-top bar. Guests will definitively want to visit and take a closer look. This steep and walled neighborhood has received kings and governs for centuries and is rich in architectural details of centuries ago.
The Almedina Arch and medieval gateway, a mere 5 minutes away from the hotel, is still today the main doorway to this part of Coimbra. From there you will have some climbing to do, but it will be well worth it.
