Autumn has arrived and with it Coimbra is even more beautiful. Start your tour in Manuel Braga Park, the City Park, next to the Mondego River.

After lunch, go to “Praça da República” which is the main access to the “Jardim da Sereia”. Enjoy the sun of autumn while walking and discover the garden where you will find lakes, ponds, flower beds and decorative elements such as tile panels. There you can take a break at the Tea House. A special environment in harmony with the surrounding landscape, managed by “Portuguese Parents and Friends association for the mentally disabled” (APPACDM). An initiative that promotes the integration of people with special needs. Go up a bit and end the day with a walk in the “Jardim Botânico” of the University of Coimbra. A beautiful garden which has about a thousand living species from all around the world, considered one of the largest botanical gardens in Europe.
